Driving innovation and ergonomic solutions in airport baggage handling
In a recent interview with Ground Handling International, Ken Brown, President of Power Stow Americas, shared insights about the company’s performance, outlook, and continued commitment to innovation and customer-focused development.
Following a year of strong engagement with both existing and new customers, Power Stow looks ahead to 2025 with confidence. The company’s solutions continue to support ground handlers, airports, and airlines in achieving safer, more efficient, and ergonomic baggage handling operations.
Power Stow is also seeing increasing interest in newer products such as the Tail Loader and Transfer Belt. “The Tail Loader has been extremely well received in the market, generating strong interest from multiple customers eager to demo the product. Its ability to reduce musculoskeletal injuries and enhance the ergonomic work environment for ramp employees has been widely recognised,” Brown noted. “They particularly appreciate the Tail Loader for its sturdiness, quick response in operation, wide working range and ability to handle heavy loads,” he added. The first demos and purchases in the US and Canada will be operational in the coming months with multiple customers, while a number of units are currently being delivered to European and Asian clients.
Brown also highlighted the ongoing success of the Rollertrack Conveyor in the U.S., where it has been described by ramp agents and management alike as a “game changer” for daily operations. In Europe, Power Stow continues to work closely with long-standing customers who are expanding their Rollertrack fleets, while in Asia, demand is growing rapidly in markets such as Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, and Singapore, where interest in semi-automated solutions is increasing.
Looking ahead, Power Stow remains dedicated to close collaboration with its customers and to advancing semi-automated technologies that enhance both productivity and working conditions across the aviation industry.
