Power Stow’s Tail Loader featured in Airside International
The Spring 2025 issue of Airside International features Power Stow´s latest innovation the Tail Loader, in the magazine’s New Product Showcase section.
Christian Søeberg, Power Stow’s CCO, shares insights about the Tail Loader and its role in addressing long-standing ergonomic challenges in baggage handling. Developed in close collaboration with ground handlers, the Tail Loader bridges the gap between the rear of a belt loader and a baggage cart or ULD, eliminating the need for lifting and twisting during baggage transfer.
Designed for robustness, simplicity, and safety, the Tail Loader enhances operational flexibility with its wide working range and supports a one-person rear-end operation. By reducing manual handling, it helps prevent work-related musculoskeletal injuries and boosts overall efficiency on the ramp.

As Søeberg explains in the article: We are well known for our Rollertrack solution, which is mounted at the front of the belt loader to transport luggage in/out of the plane’s cargo hold. Therefore, it was a natural progression to develop a solution for the rear end, making the baggage handling process semi-automatic on both sides.
Throughout the development and testing phases, we gathered detailed feedback from multiple airports and ground handling teams. This collaborative approach allowed us to develop a product that incorporates various input from those who are working with the tool every single day and we were able to design an intuitive, user-friendly, and efficient solution.
The Tail Loder has already been adopted by customers across Europe, North America and Asia, both as pre-installed units on new belt loaders and as retrofits on existing units.
